Ranting

Let the ranting begin!!! :

I saw Blade 2 Friday night and what can I say. Well its like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, only big and black, but not nearly as much fun. Blade is not very funny with only a scant few jokes on Snipes' part, which are rather good I must admit, but there should have been more. The violence was excessive, but could have been worse... mostly bone cracking stuff. That is until you throw in the bad guys of the show, a set of freaky vamps whose faces split open like an alien insect. If the face splitting alone had been toned down it would have helped lots, well that and dropping the alien autopsy of the freak vamp.

On another note, I've been making headway on Final Fantasy X. Just in case you were wondering, I am using GameShark codes. I use the infinite gil (money), which just takes the bother out of buying items... and then a couple codes for blitzball, since I didn't buy FFX to spend hours playing a stupid water polo game.

I've bought stacks of old Nintendo games now. Lots of old stuff... I mean REALLY old stuff. I even got a copy of Gyromite! The next step is to crack out some cleaning solution and see if I can make these old cartridges actually work!

I was in a rather good mood yesterday, but today I'm feeling a little blue. I'm not sure why exactly, but its probably just silly self-absorbed problems as always. I suppose everyone goes through the same type of thing; happy, everything's wonderful, and then things turn sour for a time. The roller-coaster of life, a ride for all ages!

Rain

Well its raining today. I mean torrents of rain, Noah would be impressed. Not much to do but stay inside and watch TV... oh wait, I do that every night. I guess I live a life prepared for most weather conditions.

I uncovered my old Nintendo the other day, and have decided to turn the contraption into a new hobby. The device filled so many hours of my youth, how can I just leave it to neglect? Besides, the cartridges are pretty cheap and you never know how many are sitting on dusty shelves of friends and family just waiting for a new chance at life.

When I get a chance I'll make a list for all to see, one for the games I have and another for those I wish I did. I'm looking for classics and groundbreakers. The search in its self will be fun!

Big Day!

It was a big day today. Not only did I get half the day off, but I also meet with my grad school advisor. It went well and I think I'm on my way to another degree. Oh, but wait it gets SO much better! I also went over to CD Warehouse to check out some music... and guess what I found!?! Lisa Loeb has a new album out! This might not thrill everyone, but it sure made me happy. The odd thing is I haven't listened to any of her music in a while, and just this week I took the time to listen to both her other CDs. A little peculiar, no?

There's more! I also went with a friend to see Ice Age today. Its a kids movie, but a really good one. My friend thought the story was a bit trite, but that the animation was good. I think the animation was great, and I also thought the story was pretty good. Yes it was a bit simplistic, but the main audience is the younger set. Personnally, it yanked at my heartstrings in a couple of spots, but then I'm a sucker for that stuff. All in all a must see.

Final Fantasy X

Okay, I've been playing Final Fantasy X ALL night long, and I haven't even played Blitzball yet (not that I'm looking forward to it). I'm more used to games of mindless destruction. Games where you can start, play as long as you please, and once you've had your fill of carnage you can stop. All well...

I just saw on the news, they turned on the memorial in New York. It would be interesting if they could keep those lights burning for years, but I here they're only going to keep it on for about a month. I suppose it would be too expensive to keep changing the bulbs in what is in essence a bright art piece.

Sleep time, later...

Mwa Ha Ha

Well this is my first trial of and my first real foray into having regularly updated content. I'll be updating this whenever I feel like it, and eventually I'll even make it public. The website needs some sprucing up first though, even if that is an excuse that could postpone the world.

Well this is a test, so I'll go ahead and stop babbling for now.
